Digging my way out of Surtex prep for silly time with Goober #1 is the perfect "getaway" during a busy day. Remind me to thank him later for tolerating my interruptions during train track construction or trying to make it to the mine carts in Temple Run. He's actually quite remarkable at engaging himself for little chunks of time - just long enough for me to knock off a couple to-do's, but not so long that I start missing him. I'm still pretty new to this mommy gig... I max out at 20 minutes.
Meanwhile Goober #2 looks on, zerberting my shoulder and babbling merrily through his fountain of drool.
So yeah, Surtex. Being a first time exhibitor, my entire body of work needed printing. Holy empty ink cartridges batman. I should buy stock in Epson. My house has been strung with prints for the past 2 months (high up & away from curious fingers), allowing me to study the collections as a client might, and fine tuning several as a result.
Just over a week remains to wrap up this circus and ship to Pink Light and it's pens down. Hands off. Time to step away and breathe for the first time in a while. This Mommy needs a spa day. A spa day with chocolate. Oh just give me a pool of chocolate.
